The hotel Villa Ksenija belongs to one of the famous company in Latvia – Magistr. The main activity of the company is the production of synthetic yarns and ropes. Magistr is a private family company. The Guest House was called in honor of Tatiana and Yuri Dovoretsky’s daughter – Ksenija. Everything is created with exclusive care and warmth to let Our Guests feel like at home at our hotel. History of Daugavpils

The history of Daugavpils began in 1275 when a stone castle Dinaburg (Dune Burch) was built by the Livonian Order. The city changed its name several times, it was Dinaburg (1275-1893), Borisoglebsk (1656-1667), Dvinsk (1893-1920), and Daugavpils (since 1920). Today Daugavpils is a modern city with a developed economy; it is also an important transport center. Daugavpils is located in the south-eastern part of Latvia, on both banks of the river Daugava. There are 230 km by car to Riga, a capital of Latvia. The town has an advantageous geographical location, it is not far from Byelorussian and Lithuanian borders (the distance to borders – 33 km and 25 km accordingly), and there are 120 km to Russian border.
